2009 Team Sask High Performance (HP) Development Program Spring Newsletter

1. Below is a tentative schedule, i.e. this program depends on the participation of volunteer coach/managers, participation at a funding rate averaging SCA 50% - Self 50%, and a fully-subscribed van.
   
   
2. As well as hosting a Canada Summer Games Team (CSG) -requisite 'Drug-Free Seminar' May 17th evening at SCA Road Race#2 (Bikes on Broadway)- Saskatoon, we will also use the same weekend for a HP/CSG meeting for athletes, coaches and parents with Trip sign up. Date and time to be confirmed.
   
   
3. We expect the Women's program will differ in part from the Men's program. CSG Coach-Scott Cranston and HP Committee Member-James Spooner will discuss individual programs with the pre-selected CSG female athletes and Elite female athletes. Developmental females are expected to follow the HP schedule for out-of-province races as well as in-province Club races.
   
   
4. Final CSG selection races include Bikes on Broadway and MTB#1- N. Battleford. Your participation in the Velocity RR and ITT May 9th weekend is recommended.
   
   
5. Selection for Road Nationals is expected to be very minimal in favor of sending a supported-Senior team to BC SuperWeek.
   
   
6. Juniors need to be aware and understand the Alberta selection process for Abitibi 2009. The SCA office will provide this info.
