 Race Mentorship Program

Program Overview:

Are you interested in racing, but worried about how to start out? The first few races, road or mountain bike, can be intimidating for a new racer. The Northern Bush Rastas can help! We have a Racer Mentoring program to help people make the transition from recreational riding to racing.

New racers are partnered up with club members who have racing experience. They help you out with a lot of the basics of getting ready to race, such as: registration, pre-rides, what to pack, what to wear, what to eat, how long to warm up, starting, some race tips and more. All sorts of things a rider needs to do to help things go smoothly and have a good race.

Required Equipment:

Participants will need a CSA approved cycling helmet and a mountain bike in good running order.

Contact Information:

For more information on becoming a mentor, or getting some help with racing this year, email Neil at neil@biking.org or call him at 477-3462.
