Membership in the East Qu’Appelle Cartel has reached 19 members and we will have our own club jerseys in January 2010. If you ride a bike and are within 100 km of Esterhazy you are strongly encouraged to join. You will also need to be a member of the SCA, http://www.saskcycling.ca/membership.html. The benefits of being a member of the SCA are explained on this page; http://www.saskcycling.ca/benefits.html.
The number of racers within the club is growing, as well as the numbers of road riders enrolled in the club. This past year many members of the club participated in the “Riding Mountain Challenge” RMC, biking from Dauphin, MB to Wasagaming, MB one day then returning the next. Here is the link to the RMC online photo album and note the main picture on the page has five Cartelians front and left, some are just obscured by their husbands.
With the growing number of riders in the club, we are making a concerted effort to develop more trail specifically a beginners loop. 2010 will now be known as the year of the trail cutter!
Presently we have trails at: 1) Race course, 2) Race SW 3) Race SE 4) Irvines 5) Smiths 6) Nicholausons 7) Railway Track bed 8) Clarkes
